Understanding the video conferencing behaviors exhibited on the platform that led to the pioneer of the video conference losing its identity, and redesigning features that will help Skype shine again.

The aim of the project is to identify and study the social behaviors present, in and around the virtual platform of the skype and address the deviant behaviors through proposed UI/UX interventions.

The project focuses on designing research tools to discover misalignment of the platform and revamping the platform by leveraging psychological and behaviour aspects of design by incorporating  UX heuristic study of application.

PHASE 1

Skype is a telecommunication platform founded in 2003 by Niklas Zennström and Janus Friis  with an initial idea of making voice call over IP service basically  voice calls from PC to PC. In 2005 company launched video calling feature on their platform which revolutionised the whole communication industry .​​
